TabChest Privacy Policy
What data TabChest uses
TabChest uses the following browser data only to provide its core features:
- Open tab metadata (URL, title, favicon, pinned state) to save and restore workspaces.
- Extension settings and workspace data stored locally in your browser.
Where your data is stored
- Workspace data is stored locally on your device (IndexedDB and extension storage).
- TabChest does not run a backend that stores your browsing history or workspace data.
Data sharing
TabChest does not sell your data.
TabChest only sends data to a third party in one optional case:
- If you activate TabChest Pro, the license key you enter is sent to Lemon Squeezy's license API to validate your purchase.
No tab URLs, tab titles, or workspace content are sent for license validation.
Permissions explained
tabs
Required to read selected tab info so workspaces can be saved and restored.
storage
Required to save your workspaces and settings locally.

Required only for optional Pro license activation.
Your choices
- You can delete any workspace at any time from the popup.
- You can export your workspaces to JSON and keep an offline backup.
- You can remove your license key from settings.
- Uninstalling the extension removes all local extension storage data.
